Rules of the training program
Alcohol: No alcohol or drugs

Litter: No littering

Pets: No pets allowed

Smoking: Smoking is allowed in designated areas, no butts on the grounds. No smoking on the trail.

Firearms: Firearms will be used during the program. General firearm safety rules are required. We will supply the appropriate firearms.

Tack and equipment: Cleaned and put away properly after each use.
If a student questions the rules, simply ask an instructor.

Welcome to Big Country Guide Training, a professional training course and educational instruction for big game hunting guides & outfitters. We are based in the the Chilcotin Country of British Columbia, Canada, and are dedicated to training the best guides within the hunting industry today. Our 21 day long course is comprehensive, covering instruction in all aspects of professional guiding - everything needed to be a top hand hunting guide. We supply a horse based, hands-on training method to ensure all graduates are educated and have the essential skills needed to be super professional hunting guides. Students can expect to spend time in a classroom environment as well as important time in the field. The Big Country Guide Training is located at our main hunting camp and home of Big Country Outfitters, licensed professional BC guides. Student accommodations are the same comfortable cabins we offer our hunting clients. Our spacious main lodge is where students will gather every morning for breakfast and the theory portion of the course. Being in an actual hunting lodge setting will give students a true to life experience. The lodge is a 3.5 hour drive from Williams Lake, located in the Chilcotin region of British Columbia, Canada. Pick-up and delivery can be pre-arranged.
